L-GENEAF, a Generic Business-Driven EA Framework
نویسندگان
چکیده
An increasing number of business organizations are supporting business-driven Enterprise Architecture (EA) efforts but most of these projects mix multiple EA frameworks leading to in-house developments. It seems that, based on Gartner survey, the upcoming EA frameworks will take advantage of the already existing different sets of reference frameworks and methodologies to develop pragmatic and generic business-driven ones. In this paper, we propose a roadmap that offers a mature business-driven EA framework by combining the structure of our previously developed Lausanne EA Framework (LEAF), with the business-oriented artifacts of an existing Systemic Enterprise Architecture Methodology called SEAM. This combination, relying on an articulated synergy of both the LEAF and SEAM, results in a novel EA framework, baptized L-GENEAF.

Business Information Driven Approach for EA Development in Practice
In this paper, we extrapolate findings of using the Genre and Ontology based Business Information Architecture Framework (GOBIAF) as a methodology to approach enterprise architecture (EA) development from business perspective. GOBIAF seems to contribute as the first business critical information driven framework for EA development, addressing the importance on integrating (information creation)...
متن کاملTowards Detecting Misalignment Symptoms: An Alignment Perspective-Driven Architecture-Matching Framework (Extended Abstract)
When assessing the harmony between business and information systems, most of traditional studies deal with the presence and the achievement of strategic alignment. On the contrary, exiguous attention is paid to the phenomenon of strategic misalignment, which means the absence or difficulties of business-IT alignment. This paper deals with strategic misalignment between business and information ...
متن کاملMDE Support for Enterprise Architecture in an Industrial Context: the TEAP Framework Experience
Model Driven Engineering (MDE) is often applied to support software engineering processes (i.e., from reverse to forward engineering, including maintenance and/or evolution tasks). However, as promoted by the Model Driven Organization (MDO) initiative, it can also be relevant in more businessoriented and strategic decision-making activities such as Enterprise Architecture (EA). EA is the proces...

متن کاملA Lightweight Approach for Designing Enterprise Architectures Using BPMN: An Application in Hospitals
An Enterprise Architecture (EA) comprises different models at different levels of abstraction. Since existing EA design approaches, e.g. MDA, use UML for modeling, the design of the architecture becomes complex and time consuming. In this Article, we present an integrated and lightweight design approach for EA that uses a generic architecture and patterns, expressed in BPMN. The approach facili...
